Lake Wyaralong
General information
Wyaralong Dam is located north-west of Beaudesert on the Teviot
Brook, nestled at the base of Mt Joyce.
How to get to Wyaralong Dam
Wyaralong Dam is located along the Boonah-Beaudesert Road at Beaudesert. Wyaralong Dam Access Road is located off Boonah-Beaudesert Road and continues through to the dam wall.
For traffic travelling from Brisbane, take the Mount Lindesay Highway, turn right on to Telemon Street, then turn right on Bromelton St. Travel on to Boonah-Beaudesert road, travel for approximately 10kms, turn right on to Wyaralong Dam Access Road and continue through the gate until arrival at Meebun Recreational Area.
For traffic travelling from the Gold Coast, take the Beaudesert-Nerang Rd until Beaudesert, then continue along Albert St in Beaudesert, which turns in to William St. Veer left on to Telemon St, then turn right on Bromelton St. Travel on to Boonah-Beaudesert road, travel for approximately 10kms, turn right on to Wyaralong Dam Access Road and continue through the gate until arrival at Meebun Recreational Area.
Parking
General Public Parking
Dry Weather - All general public parking will be in the main carpark (Green Zone), overflow parking will be directed to the grassed carpark near the bike tracks (Orange Zone).
Wet Weather - All general public parking will be in the main carpark (Green Zone).
Support Staff Parking
Support Staff with 4WDs / SUVs are to park in the overflow carpark (Orange Zone), all other cars to park in the main carpark (Green Zone)
Boat Trailer Parking
Boat trailers must unload, then move out under the direction of a Traffic Controller to the Bus Drop Off/ Pick Up / Trailer Parking Area (Red Zone)
Rowing Queensland and Officials Parking
Rowing Queensland Boat Race Officials and VIP Officials are to park in the VIP Parking Area (Blue Zone) as seen in site map.
RQ BRO’s are to be asked to show their Access Pass issued by the RQ office for free access to RQ appointed personnel.
Disabled Parking
Disabled Parking will be available in the main car park designated area for within the Blue Zone for those with displayed permits.
Parking Attendants at the entrance will direct you to the area.

Facilities
There are pre-existing facilities at the Meebun Recreation Area, adjacent to the boating area. Facilities include picnic tables, shelters and barbeques.
Wyaralong Recreation Areas are only serviced by tank water. It is recommended that visitors bring their own drinking water supplies.
There are no food services available on site, it is recommended regatta/event organisers arrange for food services to be available on event days.
