​What is the Queensland Club Premiership?

 

​The Queensland Club Premiership is an annual competition open to all affiliated rowing clubs across Queensland.  Points are awarded to clubs throughout the season at approved premiership regattas. The winning club receives a pennant and bragging rights as the Rowing Queensland Club Premiership Champions.

Scoring System

The above points system will be used to award points at approved Queensland Premiership Regattas. Points shall be awarded in accordance with the final result of the race. Points are awarded as follows:

​​Rules and Regulations​

Should only one or two boats start and finish in any one race, points will be awarded as above or as otherwise outlined below.
 

Should all crews/scullers entered  in an event represent one club and only one crew/sculler finishes no points will be awarded. In the case of composite crews this will apply where the majority of the members of all crews represent the same club.
 

Points are awarded to Elite, Elite Lightweight, Senior B (including Under 23 and Under 22), Senior B Lightweight, Youth (including Under 21 and Under 20), Junior (including Under 19 and Under 18) and all Group 1 to 4 races including State and Regional Championships will count towards the relevant Premiership(s). Events at the Queensland Masters Championship will only count towards the Hinchy Trophy.

Composite Crews : Should a crew comprising members of more than one Club gain points in any Premiership competition, such points shall be allocated on a pro rata basis to the Clubs whose members comprise the crew, excluding the coxswain. In the event of crews from member Clubs competing with other crews in any race for which points are given, the points shall be awarded in accordance with the order in which the crews from affiliated Clubs finish.
 

Eligibility : All affiliated Clubs north of Sarina shall be eligible to compete in the North Queensland Premiership.  North Queensland Premiership points will be awarded to Clubs north of Sarina. All affiliated Clubs south of Sarina shall be eligible to compete in the South Queensland Premiership and points awarded to clubs south of Sarina.
