Are you Australia's Next Rowing Champion?
The National Rowing Centre of Excellence (NRCE) High Performance Development Program has developed a standardised battery of tests used to identify potential rowing talent. The tests used are a result of extensive scientific research and practice. These tests have identified athletes who have trained to become World and Olympic Champions.
While there is more to becoming a champion than having outstanding scores in the testing areas, these tests do concentrate the development of expertise on those who have the likelihood of achieving success. These tests cover anthropological, strength, and endurance areas.
The High Performance Development Program aims to support and develop individuals that possess potential medal winning attributes as identified in the TID testing.
Done some rowing or never rowed before? If you possess qualities as listed below you may have the potential to be Australia's next champion rower:
» Are at least 15 years old
» Are tall (males at least 190cms, females at least 180cms)
» Are strong
» Have good aerobic fitness (endurance)
If you answered YES to all the above criteria and would like to see if you have what it takes to become an Olympic rower please contact Andrew Service or on 0414 545 469 to organise a testing session.
