Wyaralong set to be ready for 2016 State Championships

As we approach the construction phase of the Wyaralong course, Rowing Queensland will soon be calling on support from the rowing community.

The cable and buoys are currently being manufactured and approximately three (3) thousand buoy lanyards will need to be made with thousand's of clips needing to be attached to the cable. The dominant materials are due to land in the first week of December, however preparation of the smaller items/materials will start in November. In true Queensland fashion, we will make sure there are plenty of refreshments in the fridge for those of you that lend a hand. As the old saying goes “many hands make light work” so keep an eye out for “we need you” emails coming to your inbox soon.

With the course due for completion towards the end of December, clubs will have an opportunity to test the completed course out in January, just before the Queensland State Championships. We have booked Sunday the 10th and 17th for anyone that wants to head out. If you are interested in this opportunity please contact Peter Hicks so parking, etc. can be organised.
