State Championships a success at QLD's newest course!
 

Congratulations to all the competitors, coaches and support teams for their efforts at the Queensland State Championships over 23-24 January.

It was fantastic to see such a great atmosphere at the first regatta held on the newly buoyed course at Lake Wyaralong.

 

There was some excellent racing on display at the regatta, and we congratulate all championship winners and medallists.

Tickets now on Sale for the 2016 Queensland Inter-State Team Function
 

To clelebrate the selection of the athletes into the QLD Inter-State Team and the Schoolgirl Pathway Eights, Rowing Queensland will be hosting an event on the 4th March at the Regatta Hotel. Athletes will be presented into their crews and recieve their QLD Zooties.

 

The Teams will be announced in the comming week!

2016 Australian Rowing Team has been announced

 

Rowing Australia today announced the 2016 Australian Rowing Team that will compete at the 2016 World Rowing Cups 2 and 3, along with the 2016 Final Olympic and Paralympic Qualification Regattas. 

 

Seven crews will compete at World Rowing Cup 2 from 27 to 29 May in Lucerne, Switzerland and nine at World Rowing Cup 3 in Poznan, Poland from 17-19 June.

Australia is set to send five crews to the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta from 22-24 May in Lucerne, Switzerland and one crews to the Final Paralympic Qualification Regatta from 21-23 April in Gavirate, Italy.

 

The Final Olympic Qualification Regatta, which precedes World Rowing Cup 2, will see Australia attempt to qualify a Men’s Coxed Eight, a Women’s Coxed Eight, a Lightweight Women’s Double Scull and a Men’s Single Scull. Meanwhile, the Legs, Trunks and Arms Mixed Coxed Four will attempt to grab a spot for Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games by competing at the Final Paralympic Qualification Regatta in April.

2016 QLD State and Schoolgirls Pathway Squads announced

 

The Rowing Queensland Board is proud to announce the 2016 Queensland State Team that will race against six other Australian States and Territories at the Interstate Regatta as part of SIRR in March. 

 

We are also proud to announce the Schoolgirls Pathway Squad that are to race at the 2016 Selection Trials.

 

Congratulations to all athletes named to represent Queensland. To help celebrate their achievement Rowing Queensland is hosting a function at the Regatta Hotel on Friday, 4th March. Book your tickets here.
