Australian Representative Soiree a Huge Success!
A great night was had by all at the annual Australian Representative function held at Rowing Queensland on Sunday 3rd of July. The evening was dedicated to the celebration and support of the young Queensland athletes whose hard work and dedication have led to them being selected to represent Australia at their respective International Competitions. We would like to thank everyone who attended the function for making the evening as fun as it was, and for your generous contributions on the night. We would also like to send our gratitude to all of those who supplied such an excellent array of raffle prizes and gifts for auction. Photos from the night are available on the Rowing Qld Facebook page, so go check them out HERE if you haven't already!

Vale Rod Tiley
It is with great sadness that we received news of the passing of Rod Tiley on Tuesday 5th July. Rod was a valued and dedicated member of the rowing community in Queensland, being involved in Toowong Rowing Club and UQ Boat Club throughout his time with the sport. He also held the position of CEO of Rowing Queensland.
Our thoughts are with Rod's family and close friends, who helped him through his 9 month battle with cancer.

Queensland Schools Rowing Championships Moves to Bundaberg
Recent severe weather in the Rockhampton region has left the Fitzroy River unusable, and has done extensive damage to the city's course. Rowing Qld has made the difficult decision to relocate the Qld Schools Championships to Bundaberg, at Bucca Weir. We wanted to give as much notice as possible in order for schools and spectators to be able to arrange accommodation and logisitics. Please visit http://www.bundabergregion.org/ for local information and accommodation options.
